About MEN ( T C L P F W )

The cross of Christ Jesus is our Guide. The church was formerly established in the year of our Lord 1930. The Founder and 1st Primate (Late Prophet Dr. Josiah Olunowo Ositelu), of the Church Organisation received his calling as far back as 1925.

On 12th July, 1966 the Late Primate and Founder Dr. J. O. Ositelu was called to eternal glory and was succeeded by the 2nd Primate (Late Apostle Dr. Emmanuel Adeleke Adejobi).

On 17th May, 1991 the great Primate Dr. E. O. Adejobi was also called to higher service and was succeeded by the 3rd Primate (Late Most Rev. Gabriel Olusegun Ositelu) of blessed memory. On 26th April, 1998 the people’s Primate G. O. Ositelu was translated to eternal glory and was succeeded by the present and 4th Primate of the Church of the Lord (Prayer Fellowship) Organisation Worldwide – His Eminence, Most Rev. Dr. Rufus Okikiola Ositelu.

He was at the Tabieorar Festival Night held on the 22nd August, 1998, proclaimed as the new Primate of the Church of the Lord (Prayer Fellowship) Worldwide with effect from 16th day of August, 1998.

May the LORD Almighty continue to uphold, strengthen and guide him in Jesus Name. Amen. The Church of the Lord (Prayer Fellowship) is a revealed Covenant church from above. The solid foundation of the Church is laid on LOVE, FAITH and HOPE.

Every adherent of the Church is enjoined to abide and practise these virtues. The four tenets of the tenets of the church can be described as: PENTECOSTAL IN POWER; BIBLICAL IN PATTERN; EVANGELICAL IN MINISTRY; and ECUMENICAL IN OUTLOOK:

  • ===> Biblical in pattern in the sense that in all matters of Faith, Conduct, Doctrine, Rituals, Character and Discussions, our Supreme Court of Appeal is the Holy Bible. Thus the Holy Bible is our Spiritual Constitution. · Pentecostal in power in the sense that the Spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ is the Administrator of the Church through which the Church is guided, directed, filled, influenced, administered and managed. · Evangelical in the sense that we carry the Gospel to the nooks and corners of the world, and we preach the good news to all irrespective of background, race or gender.
  • ===> Ecumenical in outlook in the sense that we embrace and encourage brotherly and sisterly love among the believers, and we do not forsake the saints, for the prayer of the High Priest - our Lord Jesus Christ – for the church is, “That they may one” (John 17:21).
